Abstract:

This work aims at pointing out theoretical and practical implications of the relation between the category “youth cultures;” specifically from the results of the research project “Youth Identities – Music and Cultural Production. Ethnography of Rave and Hip Hop Rap Groups in Bogotá and a Collection of Conceptual Premises about Social Work with Youth”. To that effect, the text raises three points: in first place, it presents a synthesis of the project, highlighting the most important results; second, it proposes the conceptual referents that allow establishing the relationship; and finally it points out some possible paths to incorporate other contents for the professional conduct with youth.
