Abstract:

This article gathers together the foundational principles that support the design of some research work on the cultural practices expressed by the farmers in the municipalities of Fómeque and Fosca, Cundinamarca, Colombia. The survey aimed to identify traditional uses and customs that can enhance agricultural production to strengthen food sovereignty and security in the region. The article describes the geographical context of the municipalities of Fómeque and Fosca and discusses some arguments that underpin the research design, such as social phenomenology, ethnography, and interdisciplinarity.
