Abstract:
This paper employs the metaphor of warping in order to highlight the constituent elements of university, which Ricœur, Derrida and De Sousa Santos observed. Each of them separately brings in valuable contributions, which taken as a whole enables us to understand university in their current circumstances. Last, this paper returns to some ideas on university as producing producers in today’s higher education’s commoditization, and advances a potential way of escape by becoming a Child so as to face the current neoliberalist measurement rationale.
Keywords: university, commoditization, subjectivity, biopolitics.
